Understanding Dysfunction of the Medical Root
Apart from the obvious fact that modern medicine has degenerated into an industry that sells medical products, “consumer”, there are a number of more fundamental problems to be addressed if the system still needs to be healed. Since these medical products in more than disease tend to create health, it is almost a guarantee for a revolving door of endless consumer patients need more care. This significant change will come finally to the medical needs of a public that increasingly aware has dysfunctional nature of health care. The medical system itself can not be expected to initiate such changes without any external pressure from the consumers themselves.
Even if we could reduce the profit motive in medicine, it remains a series of false assumptions about health and healing that change if it will ever overcome its limited world view is limited.
